“Un gran c…. to be born in Italy”, says rightly the merchant Oscar Farinetti in one of his famous speeches, thinking about the great opportunities that we all enjoy, in comparison to all those less advantaged people that populate the world.
“A great thing- I think- even more because we work in Italy, in Umbria- a splendid region- and in high quality oil”
Where the role of the earth and of its beautiful olive oil plants is primary to produce an ancient and marvellous extract;
Where the oil masters try to enhance its green fruits by respecting the right ripening times and promoting a nutraceutical food, universally appreciated.
In addition to these gifts, that we enjoy for free, we can also say that we are naturally sustainable and in any case, have a low environmental impact.
In fact, olive growing produces territorial benefits thanks to its ability to harness CO2 of the air and raise carbon levels in the territory;
In addition to this, our country also has the largest olive biodiversity, among all producers, as we have over 500 different cultivars, and this favours the healthy environmental development and the fight against climate change.
As for the olive grove landscape that has been created over the centuries, the whole world envies us.
We, in our small way, have favoured organic farming since 1996, and today, even more convinced, we are active promoters.
Recently, we have also started a process- which has led us to receive, with great surprise and honour, two important national awards- aimed at promoting the use of recycled material, vegetable paper and almost completely eliminating plastic.
The transport of our green gold, where possible, is with suppliers at 0 km or reduced km, and low environmental impact vehicles, so as to mitigate the impact of logistics operations.
Finally, we have a project in mind aimed at eliminating the footprint that our company has on the environment, with the aim of achieving a positive balance, activating sustainable practices that neutralize our impact and even bring additional benefits to the environment.
In terms of SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY, the main focus is our local community and its needs.
In particular, for young people and their cultural growth, we thought it would be a beautiful thing to promote all kinds of Art, sports and recreational initiatives, to contribute to the harmonious growth of youth in a healthy context and, at the same time, to encourage talent of the Alta Valle del Tevere.
Environmental protection, correct human development and a solid, honest economic growth (economic sustainability) are the pillars on which we imagine our city and our small nearby villages in years to come: we hope to be at the side of those who travel these roads forever.
